In the studio: colour systems

Over the years we have been collecting all sorts of colour systems and charts. They are a mix of vintage and new, books and pamphlets, postcards and these small cards we picked up at the hardware shop. Aside from the different tones what we really love is the different names assigned to each - Gentle Green, Tortoiseshell Specs, Zany Jane. It's interesting how colour is categorised, appreciated and in a way seen in so many different ways.
